Upper Lip Lift

Anatomical Reminder of the Upper Lip

We distinguish between the red lip (which corresponds to the lip in common language) and the white lip (the area between the red lip and the nose, which notably includes the philtrum).
When the white lip is too long, with a lack of exposure of the incisors at rest or when smiling, a shortening procedure can be proposed through a lifting of the upper lip, known as a Lip Lift.

Technique of Lip Lift

Under local anesthesia.
Through a skin excision around and at the entrance of the nostrils, we perform a reduction in height of the white lip (the skin area between the nose and the mouth corresponding to the mustache zone) from the top (lifting of the upper lip). This allows for an elevation and a better contour of the red lip (the half-mucosa corresponding to the lip in common language).

It can be accompanied by an increase in lip volume through injection or Permalip.

Results of the Lip Lift

This relatively simple operation still requires great precision in assessing the amount to be excised.
